Convert PDF to Word (DOCX) with real flowing paragraphs, headings, lists, and tables — not floating text frames. We use pdf2docx, the industry-leading open-source PDF-to-DOCX engine, so the output is genuinely editable in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or LibreOffice.
How to use PDF to Word
- 1
Upload your PDF
Standard PDFs up to 50 MB. Native (text-based) PDFs convert best; scanned PDFs become images.
- 2
pdf2docx parses the layout
Text, headings, lists, and tables are reconstructed as native Word elements.
- 3
Download the DOCX
Open it in Word to edit, restyle, or send. The text reflows like a real Word document.
Common questions
Can I edit the result in Word?+
Yes — the output is a true DOCX with editable paragraphs. No floating text boxes.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?+
Scanned PDFs (where text is part of an image) become images in the DOCX. We do not OCR them — yet.
Are tables preserved?+
Most tables convert to native Word tables. Complex nested or merged-cell tables may need light cleanup.
Are images preserved?+
Yes. Images embedded in the PDF are extracted and placed in the same approximate location.
